People run and die behind links, I would say it just 1 factor among 200 factor of Google to rank your site in top. We always think only getting links will improve and push our website to #1 rank, but this is top most misconception in SEO.

Things we forget:

These are things we forget when we run behind the links.

1. Landing page quality and Structure
2. Quality content
3. Description
4. Internal links
5. Search quires in your content etc…

I will never say ignore links, Yes it is important factor which will have large amount of effect in you ranking. I would also recommend you to concentrate on other thing. Different kind of back-links which I came across and Google has different set points for this.

Kinds of back-links (From my experience)

1. Links from review in Blog and forum
2. People link to your content (In top list, this will help you to boost PR)
3. Links from Affiliate program
4. Links from Article
5. Links from Press release etc…

Google has some more set of back-link category and also different points for each links in PR , Please do not go for paid links this will ban your site in Google ranking and re-consideration process will take long time.

Quality and original content will give you more effect on linking. You will see people linking to you content if it is interesting, but it will take time and this will be #1 factor in PR count.

What is SEO and Landing page optimization?

What is SEO?

Global Meaning: Polishing or re-structuring your website to perform well and to attain good Page rank (PR) and search rank in search engines like Google. Yahoo and Bing etc…

My Opinion: Polish or Re-structure your website not for search engine but for you clients. That will be good practice for doing good SEO. If you do so you will notice your website will increase in traffic and will convert few visitors to clients. It will also attain good PR and search rank in major search engine.

This point is accepted by many professionals in SEO and other marketers. Even Google Matt Cutts and Avanish have strongly recommended this.

Landing page optimization

We run behind SEO and we forget our clients. We do link building, page optimization, advertising and other SEO work to get more traffic, but at last you will notice that website is not converting the leads. Yes we totally forget about clients and we never think from their part of view. I would say you will waste your money and time if you are going to forget your clients at the time of SEO and optimization.

We all know first impression is the best impression, I this fast world many do not have enough time to go through all the pages in your website. It is business owners and management responsibilities examine the value of landing page.

If landing page do not going impress your potential clients in 2 to 10 seconds then whole SEO and marketing process will suck. While optimizing the website please consider your clients not search engines. In many organization SEO guys appointed under marketing team, Business owner’s and Marketing managers please spend more time on landing page and advice your SEO guys to think from client point of view.

These are the things I practically noticed while working with few websites. I never recommend you to follow this…I have already told in my last post….

Qualities needed to become an expert in SEO industry?

Hey there before going in to SEO stuffs, I will share few interesting things to shine in this industry. All this is my personal opinion and People can share their own opinion. SEO do not have any build-in rules and regulation or code to follow, yes I agree in few things we need to follow certain rules and code, but most happen with their personal experience. So guys don’t stick on to single person experience. Read more stuffs in the same title collect information and experience of many and implement them in your website or Blog.

Following are basic and you need to follow this, with out this I am sure you will not shine in this industry.

Bachelor degree

Here I do not mean that a person who does not hold a bachelor degree will not shine in this industry. When comes to SEO we need interact more with TOP MAGEMENT, CEO, SALES MANAGER AND MARKETING MANAGER. Also we need to do lot presentation and speech regarding our SEO out put. So if you lack in you communication skill really you will suffer a lot. Also many reputed organization ignores the people who do not hold bachelor degree.

Self motivated

Some time SEO do not work and we need start the things from scrap. You need to be self motivated to over come this. Keep a target and work smart to achieve this, remember working hard will not work out in SEO industry.

Be Updated

Even you can be with out watching breaking news, but you should not be with out updating your knowledge in SEO industry. Because you might notice there may be sudden decrease in keyword position and so on. That might be because of code change by Google and other search engine. Many of us forget the things like Google Blog’s for Google official Blog, analytics and webmaster tool Blog. Build habit of visiting this Blog at least 1 hour per day.

Watch videos

You will find tons of SEO videos on Youtube. Watch some Google stuffs to increase you knowledge. Remember sticking on single person experience in not worth.

Lear things, do not hesitate to take up tasks

As I said you before we need to be updated and learn more in this industry. Nothing is impossible in this search world; do not hesitate to take up new task, also many top peoples do not like the person who says I do not know. Just inform you manager that “I will explore” and let you know. I am sure many people will have answer for you query only things you need to search and get you stuffs.

Take part in forum, Social media’s

Now social media and forums become powerful way to gain and share knowledge. If you have some questions regarding SEO post a question in forum, you will be amazed by the answers. Some time you will receive answer which is not related to your question. Validate the answer which you got from forum, because many experts agrees that forum participators are beginners not experienced, up to some extent it is true but not all time it happens.
